They perform treatment and home programming to promote activities for daily living and leisure. They also evaluate and perform treatment of sensory integration dysfunction as well as sensory diet integration.

The Adapted Aquatic Program assists in improving range of motion, motor skills, and relaxation while at the same time provide water recreation. The therapist fosters achievement of land based OT/PT goals as well as the recovery and/or functional training process. Summer programs provide an opportunity for adaptive swim lessons for Shorkey children.
Pediatric Speech Therapy Communication Services
The Speech Therapy staff provides in house and school-based intervention services for children with communication disorders and develops an individualized communication plan. The staff provides parent information for activities to transfer communication skills to the home. This much needed speech program works collaboratively with the existing physical and occupational therapy programs.
