SHORKEY CENTER SUMMER CAMPS
KIDS IN THE KITCHEN (COOKING CLASSES)
At this camp students attend one hour sessions and learn to make quick and easy recipes they can prepare at home with little assistance. Each day they are taught to prepare one nutritious snack and one sweet treat.
ART CAMP
Since 1993 students have been making holiday cards and other art projects at the Shorkey Center. Exhibits have been displayed at The Beaumont Art Museum. The Art Camp is five days with one hour classes and each day provides a unique craft. Our wonderful Mrs. Jackie Stuberfield has been our Camp Leader along with our Director Kay DeCuir.
SWIMMING LESSONS
Swimming lessons are taught each summer in our indoor heated pool. Swimming lessons are taught according to age and level of degree. Registration for class lessons will begin in April 2012.
SOCIAL SKILLS CAMP
Social Skills Camp or Shorkey TEEN CLUB is designed to assist middle and high school students learn to engage in proper conversation and conversation starters. Our Speech Therapists oversee the program and assist students in how to properly communicate with their peers and with proper conversation starters.
