The Shorkey Center exists to provide services for the individual with special needs.
These services include effective physical, occupational, and speech rehabilitation;
direct education services including therapy for children with autism and other related
disorders; and parent assistance support.

Speech Therapy

The Speech Therapy staff provides school-based intervention services for children with communication disorders and develops an individualized communication plan. The staff provides parent information for activities to transfer communication skills to the home. This much needed speech program works collaboratively with the existing physical and occupational therapy programs.
